Some Thoughts on the Chicago Renaissance, Part 1 (VIDEO)

June 11, 2014 in Chicago, Thoughts and Reflections, Uncategorized, Video

So after this past Monday's "The Gala" event, at which I was featured photographer, my good friend Adam Gottlieb caught up with me for an impromptu interview. His question was about the idea that we are living in a renaissance in arts and culture among young people in the city of Chicago. I've been thinking a lot about the prospect of rebirth, and all the many ways in which it manifests. I'm glad he gave me the opportunity to speak on it.

I'd love to know what you think. Also, if you check out the background, you'll find some of my photos that were on exhibit. I'll put up a virtual display of the installation, as well as of the photos I took that night, soon.

Until then, stay motivated and thoughtful.
